Andy van Dam Wins A Microsoft Research Outstanding Collaborator Award

Professor Andy van Dam of Brown University's Department of Computer Science (Brown CS) has just been honored by his colleagues at Microsoft Research, who have recognized him as a Microsoft Research Outstanding Collaborator. "Your contributions have had an outstanding impact on the direction, visibility, and value of our research and our products," writes Judith Bishop, Director of Computer Science for the organization and Chair of the Award Panel. Andy joins 31 other academics worldwide who are also receiving the award this year.
Andy's partnership with Microsoft Research extends over decades and covers areas as diverse as pen-and-touch computing, digital scholarship, gesture-driven applications, and graphics. He served on the Microsoft Research Technical Advisory Board (MSR TAB) from 1991-2006.
