CSCI 1951 Students Showcase Smart Mirrors, Haptic Blankets, Robots, And Other Humanity-Centered Technology

"We'll soon live in a world," says Professor Ian Gonsher, "if we don’t already, that's saturated with a dazzling array of interconnected, automatic things. This semester, my students in CSCI 1951C Designing Humanity Centered Robots explored how these emerging technologies might impact our lives in the near future as they designed, discussed, and built robots."

He's inviting everyone to take a look at a showcase of the results, documented with numerous photos and videos. If the next piece of technology in your house is an alarm clock that looks like a window and wakes you with light, scent, and birdsong, or a table that fosters interactions with strangers by connecting them through location history, you saw it here first!

You can see the projects here.
