Kamara's Work On Searchable Encryption Is The 35th Most-Cited Security Paper Since 1981

Professor Konrad Rieck of Technische Universität Braunschweig has released a list of Influential Security Papers, and research ("Searchable Symmetric Encryption: Improved Definitions and Efficient Constructions") from Professor Seny Kamara of Brown University's Department of Computer Science (Brown CS) has earned the #2 spot for research published in 2006. It's also the 35th most cited paper since 1981. The list ranks papers published at the four top-tier security conferences, and the 2006 paper, co-authored with Reza Curtmola, Juan A. Garay, and Rafail Ostrovsky (now at NJIT, Yahoo Research, and UCLA, respectively), originally released at the ACM Conference on Computer and Communications Security (CCS) has received 1153 cites at Google Scholar, putting it 703% above that year's average.
